Formed in late 2016, Hard Graft are a group of talented young musicians, playing the best of the classic rock, blues and funk genre, with the occasional alternative numbers, adding that bit of texture.

The guys have played some prestigious venues, including Robin2, World Bar NEC and The Brasshouse Broad Street.

They are:

Jes Cavanagh - Lead Vocals

Jes is from a musical family - she began singing at an early age, and from around 10 took part in stage productions and competitions. The most recent member of Hard Graft, joining in late 2023. Jes's soaring vocals blend perfectly with the guys, to produce that distinctive Hard Graft sound.

Greg Blackburn- Lead Guitar and BV’s

Music and particularly guitar playing is central to Greg’s life, having studied Music Performance at Bournville College, leaving with a Musician Of The Year award in 2015. Well known on “the circuit” Greg enjoys exciting and technical lead breaks, never taking the “easy route” through a song.

 

Brad Kirby - Bass Guitar

Local legend Brad is a professional bass player, having been previously endorsed by Laney Amplification at a very young 15 years old. Brad brings his rock solid grooves to the band, working alongside Seb in producing that all important tight rhythm section

 

Seb Moreau-Hutchins - Drums and Percussion

Seb has been drumming since the age of about 6, being the son of a drummer. He joined his first band at 12 and has been in multiple bands since. He joined Hard Graft from 2017 to 2019, and after a period at University, Seb returned to the HG fold in 2023, where he works with Brad to lay down the solid foundations of Hard Graft’s set.
